Why can't I just pressure wash my roof?
High-pressure washing on asphalt shingles removes protective granules, voids manufacturer warranties, and can force water under shingles causing leaks. Soft washing cleans with chemistry at very low pressure, which is the method recommended by roofing manufacturers.
What causes the black streaks on my roof?
Those streaks are caused by Gloeocapsa magma, an airborne algae that feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles. It spreads from neighboring roofs and thrives in Florida's humid climate. Left untreated, it shortens roof life.
How long do the results last?
In Florida's climate, most roofs stay clean for 1–3 years depending on tree coverage, roof pitch, and humidity. North-facing or heavily shaded areas may see regrowth sooner.
Is the cleaning solution safe for my gutters and landscaping?
Yes. We use diluted, biodegradable solutions and pre-wet all landscaping before and during treatment. Gutters are rinsed as part of the process.
